MESA Offers In-house Education Programs

The MESA GEP both addresses and provides solutions for the challenges encountered by manufacturing operations personnel as they pursue measureable operational and monetary benefits from IT investments targeted at the plant floor level. It particularly deals with the complex issues of closing the gap between plant floor and enterprise applications, not to mention enabling functionality that drives operational excellence.

Courses are made available in public venues by MESA. But also, manufacturer/producers and solution providers can host an In-house event internally to their operations and at a location they chose. By hosting an event, Manufacturer/producer companies can enroll a broader cross-section of their organizations at a fraction of the cost per employee, as compared to enrolling them individually in public courses. There are many benefits to this approach.

Manufacturer/Producers will benefit from hosting an in-house program by:

  • Achieving solid business results from MES/MOM solutions that are properly engineered and correctly specified from project inception.

  • Obtaining functionality and solutions that drive ROI from MES/MOM software while increasing system flexibility in their organizations. This benefit is especially driven from personnel being able to understand and apply best practices in lean manufacturing and six sigma methods.

  • Reducing staff support costs on each project because their personnel and delivery partner(s) will be on the same page as to how to proceed.

  • Gaining knowledge of the critical aspects to be considered when specifying and purchasing best-of-breed IT solutions designed to their specific operating requirements.

  • Providing application users with the knowledge to understand and the ability to contribute to the design of the installation, along with their buy-in to the new solutions that are specific to their roles, responsibilities, and departments.

Solution Providers will benefit from hosting an in-house program by:

  • Shortening the sales cycle because they will be able to educate their user/customers on both the benefits of MES/MOM solutions, in addition to the proven methodologies of successfully installing leading edge applications.
  • Leading their projects with MESA GEP methodologies that will allow them to shorten times for process understanding, value identification and implementation; while increasing user satisfaction due to the up-front education of project team members.
  • Showcasing their organization as a thought-leader by being able to not only educate their prime customers, but also to reach out to, and educate new prospects. Seats at their hosted event can be sold at a price they set to prospective and current customers.*
  • Increasing their ability to identify and incorporate superior functionality at a post-course planning phase, as opposed to later in the solution development life-cycle, when expanded functionality needs can create friction and steep cost increases for their client(s).
  • Demonstrating competitive advantage by exposing their clients, prospects and delivery teams to best practices and proven methodologies.
