MESA India actively participated in the ARC India Forum "Achieving Business Excellence through IT and Automation Solutions." from 14th July to 17th July in Hyderabad, India. The MESA India Working Group (IWG) represented by Satya Sahu of SAP and Kamal Ajitsaria of Cognizant, introduced MESA International to 100+ end users of Manufacturing IT systems from electric power, water, process and batch industries. MESA IWG also made a presentation on "How Process Industries Stand to benefit from seeking ISA 95 frameworks incorporated in RFPs" where ISA 95 standards were introduced to the end user community along with best practices for incorporating the standards in requests for proposals for Manufacturing IT systems. The presentation was well received by the audience and many of them expressed interest in actively contributing to MESA International.

Past Meetings:

MESA members in India got together for a networking dinner in Pune on 11th December.

Apart from the introductions, the members talked about their current work areas. It was a very informative session with lots of knowledge sharing around solutions for manufacturing operations management in the context of India and current economic scenario. Members felt that such sessions are very useful from a knowledge sharing perspective. The members agreed that such meetings should be organized at least once a quarter and themes for the sessions can be aligned with the strategic initiatives of MESA.
